Faculty Teaching and Learning Institute
The Center for Excellence in Transformative Teaching and Learning and the Office of Academic Affairs are deeply committed to helping new and assisting newer faculty become ever more proficient teachers as they construct their career paths. The Teaching and Learning Institute was thoughtfully designed and meticulously planned by UCO faculty to meet the needs of newer faculty. This rich three-day experience is customized to provide a wide variety of high-impact practices (HIP), proven approaches and techniques that maximize student engagement, collaboration, and experiential learning opportunities. By attending this Institute, faculty experiences will increase their students' learning and make teaching more effective and less stressful.

WELCOME TO UCO!
We are glad you have joined our learning community and look forward to working with you.
These two programs are the first in a year-long series of themed gatherings designed to acquaint you with various aspects of UCO, including tenure and promotion issues, research funding opportunities, Chambers Library, technology updates and training opportunities, book groups, mentoring, and issues pertaining to the scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL).
Hosted by the Center for Excellence in Transformative Teaching and Learning, Office of Academic Affairs and other campus departments, these gatherings are designed to reduce the isolation that permeates teaching in higher education institutions, create positive professional relationships with new and veteran faculty members from various departments, assist faculty members become more effective teachers and strengthen our efforts to forge significant transformative learning experiences for our students.
