About the Educational Administrators' Academy

Tuition for the program is $1500 (includes summer retreat, 4 follow-up sessions, program materials, meals and lodging.) Participants must furnish and pay for their own transportation.

The ELA Educational Administrators' Academy brings together Higher Ed, CareerTech and K-12 administrators, offering the rare opportunity for these education professionals to interact while experiencing a leadership curriculum designed specifically for their needs. The program begins with a 3-day retreat on the "Essentials for Leadership Excellence", facilitated by Dr. Shanna Teel, founder and CEO of Dr. Shanna Teel & Company, Inc., a leadership and human capital management consulting firm. Participants receive a 360 assessment with analysis, and in-depth analysis of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, a set of values cards, 2 books (The Power of Feedback by Joseph Folkman and Courage: The Backbone of Leadership by Gus Lee). The session also includes discussion of John Maxwell's 5 Levels of Leadership, Jim Collins' Level 5 Leadership, and how to give and recieve feedback. Participants take away a more complete understanding of themselves, their peers, direct reports, and supervisors.
